The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards came with highs and lows for those battling it out on the red carpet. From glam to sham, from glamorous to dull, from block styles to abstract, from the risk takers to the play it safe, it was all there during the rest carpet event. Here’s what I thought about the Golden Globes 2015 fashion.

I’ll start with the worst dressed. There’s always going to be the pack out of the bunch who haven’t impressed or just completely missed their mark. There are a lot of dependants here; the make up could be wrong for the style that the star is trying to achieve, the style of the dress just isn’t right, or your eyes simply have an allergic reaction or start releasing tears because it’s just too horrid to look at.
Tina Fey in Antonio Berardi
I love Tina Fey and her outfit changes throughout
the Golden Globes were impeccable but…
WHY TINA FEY WHY?
The gown worn by the comedian was just too
bubbly for my liking and all I have to say is that
I’m extremely disappointed by the gown,
the shoes, makeup and hair are all that I really like.

Kate Mara in Miu Miu
Kate Mara was amongst the brave to wear a
red dress to a red carpet event.
Had the tan belt not been worn, the outfit
wouldn't have looked tacky and would've
looked a lot more elegant.
Lena Dunham
The known risk of red carpet events is wearing a
red dress or outfit of some sort, it’s difficult
to pull it off without blending into the carpet.
I’m afraid Lena took the risk and
got no reward. The gown was not flattering for
her body shape and the neckline just wasn’t right.
Her makeup was simple and
I appreciate that but the gown really punches you
in the face and not in a good way, however,
I don’t think there’s any way a punch in the
Zosia Mamet in Andrew Gn
The peplum look just didn’t do it for me, I love
that pastels are back but the strapless,
two-tone beige and blush gown was not my favourite.
I’ll give props to the hair and makeup
but the gown pops up right at you despite
such neutral, pastel tones.
Kiera Knightley in Chanel
Usually Kiera’s style is safe but in a simple,
sophisticated manner but this time this wasn’t
the case. I don’t know what Kiera was doing
and why there
were so many butterflies and feathers
but I do not like the outfit one bit.
Lana Del Rey in vintage Travilla
I absolutely love this woman and everything
she’s about, and it kills me to say this, but the
mermaid-inspired, teal halter neck, is one of
my least favourite outfits worn. Lana’s
makeup and hair were so on point but the
gown was just sort of bleh for such
an all-star, glamorous event.
BEST DRESSED

Now onto the best dressed! Statements were made at the Golden Globes, although some were subtle and simple, the outfits worn were so on point there are no flaws in my eyes.

Emma Stone in Lanvin
The jumpsuit is making a comeback and is one of my
favourite articles of clothing to wear and buy due
to it’s simple nature that can become very fashionable
with the right style, accessories, shoes and makeup.
Emma Stone has definitely made a statement,
leading the fashion evolution of the jumpsuit.
Dakota Johnson in Chanel
Fifty shades of silver, shiny and detailed, a book written
by Dakota Johnson. Everything was so right. Metallics
are difficult to wear at the best of times,
but Dakota Johnson effortlessly pulls
the sparkly, strapless Chanel off.
Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace
The bust showing was as popular as the strapless
at the Golden Globes and as always, Kate Hudson
did not put a foot wrong and rarely does.
With a detailed cut-out, white dress,
a statement was made and is so elegant
in a meticulous manner
Kate Beckinsale in Elie Saab
Bun-wearing, sparkling everywhere Kate Beckinsale
made quite the impression. The grey gown with a
bedazzled bust really shows off her figure in a
simple way and the accessories, hair and
makeup are to a T.
Sienna Miller in Miu Miu
Neutral numbers have been the way to go for
most stars and Sienna Miller pulls the trend
off with such ease. Her gown is so elegantly simple but
so gracefully eye-catching
at the same time. The natural makeup put together with
clean and simple accessorising makes for a show-stopper.
Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein
The simple strapless moved from boring and repetitive
to glamorous as soon Reese Witherspoon stepped
onto the red carpet with her little number.
The style of the entire outfit is modestly flattering
and is just perfect for Reese Witherspoon.

Honourable mentions to those who dressed delictably simple but still made an impression one me. Some were controversial and some were just plan and simple. Either way, everyone's taste in fashion is very different.

Amy Adams in Versace
Diane Kruger in Emilia Wickstead
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad

Couples rarely hit the mark on the red carpet, it’s difficult to co-ordinate outfits without looking too matched at the same time, but there are couples who subtly synchronised with each other.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum
This couple can do no wrong, they are always looking
incredible together no matter what they wear.
Channing Tatum spotted the bow-tie with his
Dolce & Gabanna tuxedo whilst Jenna brightened
things up with her pastel yellow gown.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux
The cheeky butt holding Jennifer Aniston rocked a black,
halter number that really meshed with the Givenchy
suit wearing Justin Theroux;
it was sort of yin and yang-esque.
George and Amal Clooney
Black and white is classic for this couple. Amal Clooney
stuns us all with her Dior one
shoulder gown and white gloves. Hand in hand,
George wore his recycled wedding tuxedo.
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt
The dynamic, comedic duo really looked perfect together.
Anna Faris’ gown was so simple in shape and detail,
whilst Chris Pratt went with the devilish
bow tie and classic tux. The couple is flawless.
