CHANEL TIFFANY

Victoria's Secret is a well-known retailer, selling women's lingerie, womenswear, along with beauty products, perfumes and of course those infamous catalogues featuring photoshoots. It's a multi-billion dollar company that is world-renowned.

But it's not the brand we focus on, it's the models who wear the lingerie that are the show stoppers. The models strut their stuff at the Victoria's Fashion Show. This annual show began in 1995, starting from no broadcasting and evolving from webcasts to television, it has become a tradition ever since.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion has men salivating and sweating, while women envy and admire the models. It's not just lingerie sales the increase, but I'm pretty sure gym memberships and personal trainings are sought out.

So, what are the most memorable and iconic moments that Victoria's Secret has given us?

Adriana Lima - 2012
The first fashion show Adriana Lima did for Victoria's Secret was way
back in 1999, and since being contracted as an Angel in 2000,
has appeared on subsequent shows ever since,
opening shows in 2003, 2007, 2008, and 2010.
Naomi Campbell - 1996
Debut on the VS Runway
Kylie Bisutti - 2009
Victoria's Secret held a competition to find a model for the
runway, this was the first and only time this occurred.
Karolina Kurkova - 2010
The angel wings made from real peacock feathers had
heads turning.
Lui Wen - 2012
This model made history being the first As model to walk the
runway back in 2009. During the 2012 show, she sported a
Temptu's airbrushed tattoos, which took a total of six hours to put on
the tattoos, and t took 30 minutes to take it off.
Lindsay Ellington - 2013
This angel donned a corset and nylon wings covered in
Swarovski crystals created by a 3D printer
Candice Swanepoel - 2013
The model wore the infamous Royal Fantasy Bra, she made her debut back in 2007.
It is a Mouawad jewel-bedecked bra that took 14 craftspeople 527 hours to complete.
This is one of my personal favourites.
Heidi Klum - 2003
The model walked the runway in some of the biggest wings I've
ever seen, Victoria's Secret really amped it up this time.
Cara Delevingne - 2013
The model sported the dark angel look but then there are those rubber
gloves, looks like she's about to wash the dishes or something.
Tyra Banks - 1998
This was the year the angel wings were introduced and Tyra, one of the
original Victoria's Secret Angels was one of the few to wear these
little beauties, and boy did she rock them.

Miranda Kerr - 2011
My all-time favourite model got the pleasure of wearing the Fantasy
Treasure Bra and made the 2.5 million dollar bra look worthless aka

Miranda Kerr is priceless and "bae" af [shudders at the use
of this modern "word"]

THE PERFORMANCES THAT ROCKED MY WORLD

Ariana Grande - 2014
While performing a medley, Ariana Grande was whacked by Elsa Hosk.
It was not my favourite performance ever but it was not only memorable an

hilarious but very relatable, we mere mortals are no force for theVictoria Secret's
models. It also inspiredmany memes, and how doesn't love memes.

This year I attended the 155th Melbourne Cup. I had never been to the event only ever heard from other people what to expect and watched the event on television so this was my first time to attend such a prestigious event that stops the nation. Although the event is about the horses and the racing, along with the betting, I definitely focus a lot of my attention on the glitz and glamour. The fashion has evolved through the years, with different looks, from the bold and dramatic to the simple but show stopping, it's all there.

THE DO'S, DON'TS AND SIDE NOTES

What I discovered thanks to the spring races is to definitely bring spare flat shoes or wear a more comfortable heel. I most definitely regretted my decision to wear heels that were not only quite high but wear uncomfortable after a few hours. My advice is that you wear shoes that you've broken into instead of wearing brand new puppies, the only reason I went with a brand new shoe is because it was the only shoe that suited the dress I wore.

I recommend wearing a dress or outfit of some kind that is comfortable but fashionable at the same time. You'll be standing around for hours and walking around a bit to at least stretch your legs or grab some food and drinks if you haven't bought your own. Although my dress was unbelievably beautiful, it was difficult to walk in at times. Due to the shape of the dress and the geometric cut, it was restricting at times to take bigger strides or walking down stairs, or even just to sit down. The dress was also not made for my height, so even with alterations it wasn't the easiest dress to deal with. However, I don't have any regrets with the dress I purchased because it was a definitely a winner in my eyes. So the tip here is to make sure your dress fits well, you want the shape, length, details, colour(s) and/or pattern to suit your body and height. In order to make sure it's the perfect dress, you want to try it on and wear it around a little just to get a feel of it.

I've noticed that even though a dress is the go to outfit for the day, you can definitely shake things up with a jumpsuit or a two piece set, just wear something you feel comfortable in. With regards to shoes, wearing heels isn't the shoe that you have to wear, you can wear flats or even wedges and still rock your outfit.

When it comes to hair accessories, hats and fascinators or just accessories in general, I usually go with simple is better, but some people like to go all out, it's each to their own. I personally like to match my accessories to the outfit I wear, so if you're wearing a certain colour then the accessories should be the same colour, but you don't want to look too bland so wear an accessory that will stand out, for example a colourful clutch, a bold bag, metallic jewellery or even a watch, so there's some sparkle, this will make the outfit pop.

With regards to makeup, you want a look that will last throughout the day so it's simple but effective, however once again there are others who might want a more bold look for their outfit. If you've gone for a simple outfit and accessories, I suggest a bright, bold beauty look, for example, a smokey eye or colourful lip, it'll help make your face shine and create a whole dynamic to the outfit you've chosen. However, you can go for a neutral look even if you've gone simple with the outfit. If you've decided to go for a daring outfit, a beauty look that's modest in nature would be perfect, so you can apply neutral eyeshadow tones and nude or pink lips.

WHAT I WORE TO THE SPRING RACES

#5 Melbourne Cup
#5 Melbourne Cup by chapel-tiffany

I wore the 'Hold Tight' by Cooper St, this is available in both black and white but I went with the white one. I paired this geometric dress with a strappy stiletto heel in white and a two-toned silver and white Gregory Ladner headband fascinator that had a sideman leaf with a bow and loops. For the accessories I wore a Tiffany & Co bracelet and a rose gold watch, along with a mini bag in teal, just to add some colour to the outfit. For my makeup I used Urban Decay's Naked 1 and Naked 3 palettes for my eyeshadow and Rimmel London's Nude Collection by Kate Moss lipstick in #45 A Rose Nude.

On the weekend I went to the Royal Melbourne Show, I think I've been probably once in my life but I'm assuming I was quite young because I remember nothing about that day! So if you're wondering what in the heck is a 'Royal Melbourne Show', it basically features amusement rides, attractions for your entertainment, arts and crafts, and food and wine needs, from animals to cultural diversity, it's all there. You could say it's an amusement park morphed with every single exhibition you could ever think of.

A decision to take public transport was made, and I think it was definitely the best choice. Although there was parking and the car is a lot more accessible, along with being in your private space, the traffic was absolutely insane so it would not have been worth it at all. Although trains were packed, the trip was quick and easy. So if you're ever going to a huge event like the Melbourne Show, I totally recommend public transport.

Upon arrival, the line for the tickets was large, but not too large, it took about 15 minutes to get our tickets, so the allocation of tickets was efficient. However there is always the option to purchase tickets and bundles online if you don't want to bother with being in a queue.

When you first walk into the show it's sort of crazy, you're bombarded with people walking past you, music blasting from the speakers and all the amusement rides with their booming noises, little food outlets, and different precincts with various things to meet your hearts content.

There are so many amusement rides in the place, it is honestly so overwhelming, you just want to try every single one! From screams of fear to laughter to the wooing in excitement, the reactions of people on the rides either sway you towards said ride or make you want to run in the other direction as fast as you can. Before deciding the rides to go on, observations were made and a lot of walking was done. I didn't realise how big the Melbourne Showgrounds was until walking around the place numerous times, I lost count after the third round.

The first ride I went on was the Taipan Rollercoaster, I hadn't been on a rollercoaster or even an amusement ride in years so I wanted to start with something that wasn't too crazy but was accelerating at the same time. It definitely got the blood pumping, heart beating a little fast and the adrenaline spiking through your veins.

Following the first ride I went walk about, checking out every thing possible, from the animal farm yards to dog shows, from the pop-up restaurants to the mini bars, from arts, crafts and cookery to fashion, style and home, from showbags to even a woodchop pavilion, the precincts and pavilions were endless and were so different to one another.

Afterwards, I walked past every single precinct and pavilion, I came across the 'Masterchef Australia' set. I was surprisingly starstruck by it even though it was just a building, I was also a little bit hesitant because I had no idea the show was actually filmed on the Showgrounds but thanks to a quick Google search and seeing the herb garden I knew it was the actual location. Walking onto the set location  was actually pretty awesome, it was obviously not filled with contestants cooking on their kitchen tops and the pantry wasn't there but everything else was there, the 'M' sign and the elegant balcony were there. There were fridges full of alcohol, little pop up stores selling various foods and providing samples, the entire place was filled with the aroma of foods and the bustling of people.

Once I was satisfied I had seen everything and been in every precinct and pavilion, at least having a little glimpse or taking the time to have a good look at everything, it was time for another amusement ride, it was time for a thrill-seeking experience. The ride that drew my attention was the 'Sky Flyer', it looked like a simple ride, but once you get on it's pretty much a riveting experience. You're basically sitting on a chair that soars through the air as it changes heights, going higher and higher, spinning round and round, this was my favourite ride of the day for sure. It felt like you were flying through the air and even though, from the ground, it didn't look that high, it was surprisingly high, you could see all of Melbourne.

The last amusement ride on the agenda after a little sit down and walk around was 'The Hangover', this was definitely the ride that made me most nervous, I was totally freaking out about this ride, I didn't want to go on once purchasing the ticket for it, but obviously I had to. Once on the ride and it started moving back and forth repeatedly, going higher and higher, I was regretting my choice of going on this ride, I was holding onto the shoulder pads for dear life. I screamed so much and felt so uneasy on the ride, especially when it flipped a 360 and would pause when it had spun to the top, it was honestly made me so nauseous, I thought I would end up vomiting during the ride or pass out, it was the such a freaky experience. After a couple minutes of the ride, I started to just concentrate and control myself from screaming, at the end of the ride I was just thankful to get off.

After the nauseating experience of an amusement ride, more walking around was done and it was finally time to eat. There was an abundance of food in the pavilion where every single cuisine you could think of was present and waiting to be tried. It was impossible to choose what you want to eat, it's even more impossible when you have no idea what you want in the first place!

One of the most wanted items at this event is a showbag, in these bags they include various items like food, magazines, toys, beauty products or really anything you can think of. It's really an overwhelming sensation when you walk into the Showbag Pavilion especially when you've been in a line for 20 minutes just walking up and down three times to get into one place where there is lack of oxygen and lack of personal space, it's questionable as to whether it's worth the wait or not. However, in the end you want to experience every single thing when you attend an event such as the Melbourne Show... Plus the Darrell Lea Showboat was indeed worth it!

If you're looking for something a little different, want to plan an activity that's worth while, or simply want to discover something new about Melbourne as either a tourist or even a local, well I just found the perfect thing for you and that's the Melbourne Star.

So if you're not a fellow Melbournian or you're simply out of the loop, you're probably thinking what the hell is a Melbourne Star? Well, it's sort of like a ferris wheel with a Eureka Skydeck: The Edge experience twist.

In all honesty, I didn't know what to expect from this experience, I thought it could either be really fantastic or just a plain let down. There had been a lot of controversy surrounding this attraction but to my surprise it was one of the most rewarding experiences that Melbourne had to offer.

The Melbourne Star is situated in Docklands within Harbourtown, so you can wine and dine or shop til you drop and then go onto the observation wheel for a little bit of a relaxing yet awe-inspiring experience or vice versa. Additionally, it's close to public transport and there's parking available, so it's convenient.

Upon approaching the Melbourne Star, you'll see pods continuously moving around and around. Once you have your ticket scanned you walk through a sort of gallery atmosphere and get your photo taken. There are rooms with novelty rides, those ones where you beg your parents for a few dollars just so you can use it, you know the type right? Like little cars you sit around and pretend you're driving in, that sort of thing. There's also a cute gift store you can visit once your journey on the Melbourne Star is over.

Melbourne Star during the day
When you've gone through the maze of the Melbourne Star's gallery setting, you're at the boarding deck and you're instructed on what to do and how to do it and then boom you're walking into the pods. What I found interesting was the fact that the pods don't actually stop for you when you're boarding, you simply hop on while the attraction continues spinning. Another interesting aspect of the attraction is that you don't even notice that the cabins are moving because they're moving ever so slowly. So you're literally standing or sitting in the cabin observing the City of Melbourne not even realising just how high you are, it's incredible.

Panorama inside the cabin
During the 30 minute ride in a spacious cabin, you're observing Melbourne from every angle through the clear glass while audio commentary is provided, giving you an insight into the significant suburbs and simple little facts about the sights you're seeing. You simply cannot go past getting those photography skills out and taking as many photos, or selfies, as you possibly can whilst on this journey. The only downside is that you don't realise how fast time goes while you're spinning around, and when it's over you just want to go back into the pod and keep spinning around, hoping that it never ends.

The Melbourne Star lights up at night!
With a 360-degree view of the city, you can't help but take in the atmosphere and feel completely awed by it, it's a completely breathtaking and interactive perspective of the city. And once you reach the very top, you feel like you're the King or Queen of the world, it's really an accomplishment in itself.

I highly recommend this experience to anyone and everyone, it is worth every dollar you spend. The best part is that any time is the perfect time to go on the Melbourne Star, day time, night time, you'll get a magnificent view no matter what. This is definitely something to add to that bucket list of Melbourne experiences that you just have to try. It's a perfect for a family outing, date night or just a basic group thing. I guarantee you'll want to keep going back once you've tried it!

The development Marvel Cinematic Universe has created some of the best films in the superhero, action genre and as part of Phase 2, Ant-Man has joined this down-right complex universe. I didn't expect much when I went to finally watch the film in cinemas. I knew of the hero, of his abilities and little facts of how Scott Lang is connected to the Marvel Universe as a whole. I was a little bit concerned about how this hero would be intertwined in other plots, especially when there was very little information contained in the previous films in Phases 1 and 2. I also felt like the character had some sort of mystery surrounding him, and the advertising for the film was kept to a bare minimum compared to other films in the universe, this is as far as I could tell though. The best part about the mystery and not knowing what to expect from such a hero is the fact that it draws your attention and intrigues even more and that's what drew me to this film.

I have to say, Marvel know how to choose their cast and kind of just make it seem like the actor was born for the role, for example, Robert Downey Jnr as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star Lord and basically everyone cast is pure perfect. And then we have Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, the man is hilarious, youthful and a breath of fresh air, he's sort of like Tony Stark but less flamboyant.

Another cast member I loved was Michael Douglas playing Hank Pym, now if you don't know who this is, it's the original Ant-Man, if you're confused, it's explained in the film so you'll be fine. Douglas is similar to Rudd, they're both bad asses. I also thought Douglas stole the show multiple times and frankly, I was perfectly okay with it because Hank Pym, being the first, original Ant-Man, intrigued me. I wanted to know more. The downfall here is that there was a lack of flashbacks in relation to this character and I would've loved to have seen how the suit was created and just generally more about the original Ant-Man and Wasp.

With regards to Evangeline Lilly's character Hope Van Dyne, I was a little confused about her. Although I could tell immediately predict her plot, I researched the character a little and came up with a completely different portrayal to the one in the film, so the credits scene, although predictable for me, confused me even further. I'm unsure as to whether Marvel are sticking with the comic book or whether they're going off the books here, I'll go with the latter and assume it's off books because a majority of their films have appeared to be like this.

The villain of the film is Darren Cross, who like any protege tries to out-do his mentor and take over, with greed and power on his mind. Although knowledge is power, this guy definitely becomes a threat by knowing too much and wanting to know more. I have to say, this man is insanely psychotic and you just want to punch him in the face every time you see him. I need not say more about the villain.
Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Paul Rudd, Corey Stoll and director Peyton Reed
Once again, a majority of the plot and characters featured in the film may not align with comic book storylines, however, don't be disappointed if you're an avid comic book fan because this film gives you a little break from the havoc from the other Marvel heroes. You'll breathe a mist of fresh air when you become emotionally vested in this film as you divulge yourselves into the characters, their plots and their relationships with one another.

Overall, the film is surprisingly well done and has a little of everything for everyone. You've got the epic storyline, the relatable characters, the comedic scenes and the connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with the action of course, all of which will keep on your toes. Even if you don't know who Ant-Man is, who Scott Lang is, what happens, or anything at all, and you just like watching a good old superhero movie, this is totally for you. Although the film can generally be watched, I recommend watching all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films so that you spot the connections to it and fully comprehend what's actually going on.

You'll giggle, you'll smile, you'll become concerned, you'll feel a sense of joy, and you'll get shocked, generally, it's an emotionally packed film that everyone will surely enjoy... Oh and just a little tip, if you hate bugs you might squirm at the sight of the recurring amount of ants!

Be sure to get out and about and purchase yourself a ticket to the cinema! I hope this post persuades you or gives you a bit of insight into my thoughts of this film. Don't forget to subscribe to my blog to keep up with my antics!

Also this is the only trailer you need to see before watching Ant-Man, trust me on this one.

I honestly cannot believe how fast this year is going, honestly all I do is blink and the months and seasons are changing before my very eyes. So before I go and tell you about what lovely little things I got throughout the month, I'll recap my boring life for you all, maybe you'll relate to it. Also, if you want to share anything with me, don't forget that you can always comment on my blog posts or Google+ posts or Instagram posts, tweet me, tag me on Instagram or send me questions, feedback or general stories about yourself through my Tumblr. It'd be a pleasure to hear from you.

AFL IS BACK
As the AFL season has officially kicked off, I've been going to a few footy matches with some friends, it's been quite interesting. Although the games aren't always riveting, and I'm not usually watching my own team play, the atmosphere is electrifying, and I quite like going to matches.

Relationship goals?
NITTY GRITTY CAMPING

This month I went camping for a couple of days with a group of people, some I knew and some I had met just at this event, and it was actually so much fun. Now when I say camping, I say like there were tents set up but it was not in the wilderness, but near a populated area but I shall call it camping. The drive was long, I didn't think you could get a sore butt just from sitting in a car for about three hours but I have found out that it is possible. There were a lot of little towns I went past while on this journey, I had never heard of some of the places until that day. For example, there's a place called Yarck and another that goes by the name Yea. A majority of the towns had weird names but it was nice to drive past and see what I had never seen before. I didn't realise how big Victoria was and how many places I had no clue about. The location of the campsite was near Mansfield, which I knew of but had never been to this town. The town is quite populated and has such a lovely atmosphere. Mansfield is like a miniature Melbourne, without the skyscrapers and the steel buildings. It was a home away from home and I was in awe at everything I saw throughout the journey. Before reaching the destination, we made a pit stop at Mansfield, stretched out our legs and grabbed a quick coffee.

The open road
Once we reached the location, we pitched a tent. This was my first time actually setting up a tent, although I didn't do much and had help, it wasn't as difficult as it seemed. After it was set up, we unpacked out belongings, and relaxed. Downing food, drinks, playing pool and table tennis, it was basically all that consisted of this camping trip. Bon fires were set up every morning and night, sometimes they were burning throughout the day. If we ever got bored we just went to Mansfield for a bit to get some reception on our phones and be anti-social before heading back to the campsite and rely less on our phones and actually interact with people and occupy ourselves with things other than technology, crazy I know.

Camping aesthetic
Regrettably, I underestimated the weather, and packed a lot of clothing that suited a cooler climate, but a majority of the time, it was quite warm, but not too warm, just in between. Additionally, I actually participated in "water sports". One of the families on the camp had a boat and everyday a group of us would get on the boat and go tubing or watch others get smashed by water, which is surprisingly hilarious. I attempting the tubing myself and stacked it about three times, although it was scary at first, I had a blast doing it, and despite the water being absolutely freezing, you have so much adrenaline seeping through your veins that you barely notice it and want to keep going.

EASTER

Camping took place on the Easter weekend, so I received some treats whilst camping and once home received more. So much chocolate was eaten. I have to say, I'm 100% certain that the Reese's Easter Egg threw me off eating anymore of their stuff purely because it was so rich in flavour and I couldn't even finish it!

The Easter Bunny treated me well
FAST AND FURIOUS 7 AND AGE OF ULTRON

I also watched Furious 7 last month, for my thoughts on the film and the franchise as a whole, take a look at my blog post 'The Fast and the Furious'. I also watched The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which I also posted about because it was so worthy of a blog post too.

Now this was before I entered the cinema and walked out crying by the end of the film

Hey everyone guess who's seen The Avengers: Age of Ultron? No? No one can guess... Okay it was me! Although I'm usually the type of person who watches a film when it's actually released in cinemas, I decided you know what I'm going to treat myself to an advanced screening. I'm going to be real here and say I hate when films are released and there are no proper premiere events where the actors come to the country and have fun and stuff, it's mostly just irrelevant people who aren't even in the film who make the rounds in a premiere. I feel like Australia misses out on these opportunities. Premiere events would certainly boost ticket sales and such, however, this particular cast have done a load of promotion in other countries, so I guess that's okay but I definitely think a film like this would have been perfect for a premiere event, especially as the cast is impeccable! Advanced screenings will just have to do for now.

To sum Age of Ultron, basically you got the Avengers Assembling again, a majority of people describing it as a high school reunion, which is a perfect way to label it. All I can really say is... holy crap it is good.

I had pretty low expectations of this film if I'm completely honest here. There were a lot of hiccups with casting and some of the plot was on the down low a majority of the time before the release. Marvel have been throwing massive spanners in the works with all the movies for every, single, individual hero, much like DC, which I get because they're competing against each other. There's also been speed bumps with the Spider-Man movies being put on hold due to casting issues, then you have the fact that Marvel want to smash more heroes together with The Avengers or with the individual Avengers heroes movies, putting a lot of their timeline on hold. Basically, there have been major screw ups but this has definitely been made up through Age of Ultron.

Now onto the nitty gritty. The effects of Age of Ultron are absolutely epic, I think I’m the only one to believe that this film upped the anty and went above and beyond, beating the first of the franchise to actually look pretty damn epic in my eyes. Hey, The Avengers was insanely crazy and kicked off this franchise, making it a worldwide phenomenon. However, I think because of the introduction of a number of characters, it made The Avengers that much cooler. There’s a predictable plot embedded into the film, however, there is an unexpected turn of events, which I did not see coming and was completely in awe of the plot. The film had me on my toes. Every stunt performed, every move the Avengers made was just putting me on the edge of my seat.

You’ll see Captain America use his Frisbee and taking charge. You’ll get to see Hawkeye in action with his bow and arrow (I still prefer the Green Arrow to this guy but that’s just between us). Thor and his magic hammer, there's a lot about his hammer, like a lot. Then you have Bruce Banner going green and turning into the Hulk (so much smashing and stuff, hold onto your seats everyone, he might take that next). You got Tony Stark being as cocky as ever and chucking in the one liners, as both himself, and Iron Man. And finally, you have my favourite, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, wearing a really tight suit, showing off her assets and picking up after all the boys in the film. So you’ll expect some crazy stunts and fights from all these characters as per usual. Oh also you'll have Nick Fury and Maria Hill being bad ass!

But then you got some newbies coming into the picture and expanding The Avengers franchise even further. Obviously we are introduced to the villain of the film, Ultron, after Tony Stark, with the help of Bruce Banner (I don’t why every single description of this film solely blames Stark but hey I’m going to put it out there and say he had a helping hand in all of this, although it was technically his idea), majorly screws up everything and puts a lot of people in danger, and thus leading to the avenging.

Then you have the Maximoff twins, Wanda and Pietro, who are mischievous little things they are. Wanda is the Scarlet Witch and Pietro is Quicksilver. There are a couple of things that let me down with these characters. Due to X Men and The Avengers being filmed in different studios, it has eliminated the hope that the two teams will ever combine, as well as eliminating the factor that Wanda and Pietro Maximoff actually have their powers from being mutants, not because of the plot you actually see in Age of Ultron. I can kind of understand why some Marvel movies stray from the comic book plots or want to keep other teams and such separate, as it’ll further add to confusion, but keeping a key element of the characters out of the films, defeats the purpose of the characters. Another factor that put me off watching this film was the fact that the casting of Quicksilver was different, so Evan Peters, who was cast in X Men: Days of Future Past was not cast in Age of Ultron, however, this is due to what was explained previously and also because there alternate universes and I won’t even get into that. Although I had low expectation of Aaron Johnson, I have to say, he proved me wrong, I was so taken aback by his take on Quicksilver, that I might have just liked it even more than Evan Peter’s portrayal. Both Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Johnson have these accents, and you can’t even tell what their real accents are because the accent they pull off is so thick. Overall, I think the character transformations that Wanda and Pietro go through are predictable but still enjoyable to watch.

Finally, you have the very mysterious Vision. I say mysterious as Marvel really kept this on the down low, and didn’t release anything about this character; movie posters of this character are only just emerging. I think Vision is pretty wicked and I’m really excited to see if or when this character is in more Marvel films, how the character will be further portrayed.

The downfall of this movie, for me personally, is that there is a character who has a terrible fate, however, this develops another characters, but also, there is hope that the character will return, but it's unsure whether this will in fact happen as the character is quite controversial.

I think the best part about The Avengers is that all the characters involved, and even those who aren't even involved or have had their own films or even been dwelled upon, are intertwined in the film and in individual films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are always these little hints here and there, and it really provides solid ground for the future of the franchise. Also just a heads up for everyone, the DVD release of Age of Ultron is confirmed to have an alternate ending to the cinema release.

On another note, I'm quite nervous about who will be cast as Spider-Man, all the casting choices look incredibly young and me no likey, why couldn't Marvel just keep Andrew Garfield and leave it alone. It's upsetting that Garfield wasn't given a chance to continue on with the franchise and even join the Avengers. On another note, I'm extremely excited about Captain America: Civil War and X Men: Apocalypse starting to film, what a time to be alive.

Straying from the Marvel Universe and taking a quick squeeze at the DC Universe, I'm not sure how I feel about the Batman v Superman trailer as all the audience sees is doom and gloom and it's quite boring to say the least. Then there's Ben Affleck portraying Bruce Wayne, I feel like the role just isn't for him, Christian Bale honestly portrayed the best Batman there, but then again, we haven't really seen the film yet, so it's quite difficult to judge based on a quick trailer that doesn't really show anything at all. Furthermore, you don't get a glimpse of Wonder Woman or Aquaman, after all the hype surrounding the casting choices, it's a bit of a let down. Also I think the DC Universe heavily relies on its male characters to maintain momentum of their films, it'd be awesome to finally see a woman taking charge in some new films instead of seeing a typically side-lined woman. I think DC Universe kills it on TV, the Arrow and The Flash have been slaying. Thanks to Arrow there's now a Suicide Squad film coming out soon, I didn't like the idea at first because Arrow's casting is pretty awesome and it now puts the TV show on strings whereby Harley Quinn or The Joker can never make an appearance in the squad. Additionally, the cast members from both the TV shows will never be imbedded in the Justice League films and there are now limitations on the series as Justice League can't actually be addressed. It all seems a bit silly when you have such popular shows that have hope for the future. Although DC have had success in their TV shows of Arrow and The Flash, even Smallville was a hit (wish it continued) their movies aren't that crash hot; except of course Batman: The Dark Knight. The Marvel Cinematic Universe clearly know how to make a good film and do it incredibly well, there definitely is some tough competition between the two universes, especially now that there will be two superhero teams in town.

And there you have it, the epic, the bad and the crazy world of The Avengers, the madness and great big mess of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Universe. I tried to be pretty vague in my review so that there are no spoilers for you lovely lot who haven’t seen it yet. I watched this movie in 3D, so I'm hoping to watch it again in 2D, it's one of those films where you can go back and watch it multiple times and never get sick of it because it is that good. I highly recommend you go and get yourself a ticket to the cinemas and experience this.  However, try not to watch too much, Fast and Furious 7 is currently in the top five of the highest grossing films in the box office of all time.

I've had the privilege of growing up with the Fast and Furious franchise and the ride is getting better and better as it continues and grows bigger and better. If you've never seen at least one of the movies, I highly recommend you watch all of them in chronological order, as you watch them you'll see the character developments, the events changing, every movie is quite different in their own right and you get to see the evolution of cars and the special effects.

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS

I first started watching Fast and Furious franchise when it came out on DVD in 2001 or 2002, I was one of those girls who didn't care for Barbie dolls and preferred Lego and toy cars. I remember watching the first movie with my family, completely amazed by it all. The car stunts were insane and the plot was heart pumping, I'd never seen anything like it. I had the biggest crush on Brian O'Conner, and I would always wonder why Dominic Torretto was so huge, and would even wish I had a family like the Torretto's and could fix cars and race them, typical imagination of a child. It was the movie that started it all, involving car races, loads of crazy, never would you ever do stunts, hijacking, stealing, and generally a lot of shooting of guns and violence and romance and of course drama, a little war fare between teams, all combined into one movie.

2 FAST 2 FURIOUS

I didn't really think anything of the franchise continuing, I generally thought it would just be one movie and that was it. But then 2 Fast 2 Furious came out in 2003. Although it mostly got a negative reception, I didn't hate it, at the time, I was still young and enjoyed the whole film. The movie went in a different direction to the first, you go from a street racing movie, to a movie where drugs and law enforcement are prominent. Additionally, most of the characters you see in the first movie weren't in the sequel, and that's probably why some people may not have liked it. However, the movie was necessary, just like every one of these movies are. You needed to be introduced to new characters, one being Roman Pierce; Brian's partner in crime, and Tej Parker, who both become a bigger part of the franchise, and the other Monica Fuentes. Once again, the movie ended showing lack of continuation and so I thought it was the end.

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT

Then, in 2006, everything changed, I was a little older and thought nothing of another Fast and Furious movie coming within those three years. However, The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift appeared out of nowhere. At first, I was utterly confused by the movie, it was a completely different cast, the main character wasn't Dom, it was Sean Boswell, and set in a different country, obviously being Japan, that isn't even mentioned in the first two movies, and it just made no sense, and to make things even more confusing, Bow Wow was in it, I mean I didn't even know this boy existed still. This is the main reason why the movie flopped a little. The budget was quite small and the box office didn't do too well, compared to the first two movies. Tokyo Drift is set after the fifth movie, being Fast Five, so basically the fourth movie of Fast & Furious and Fast Five are prequels of Tokyo Drift. The confusion of the movie is that you don't see the main cast of the first two movies and merely see a cameo from one, so you don't really know that it is set ahead of time. In my opinion, the casting was awful, the acting was awful and overall, the movie was made way too early because when watching Fast & Furious and Fast Five, the cars evolved drastically and then you go back to Tokyo Drift and notice that they're a little bit older as the movie was made 3-5 years before the prequels. A positive aspect of this movie is probably the mystery behind it, although it is somewhat seen as being a negative by myself and others, it is an optimistic feature of the film as you don't know what to expect and you don't know where the franchise is actually heading at all, this movie also reaffirms a main character's mysterious quality in the movies as they continue. So although this may not be my favourite movie of the franchise, there are some qualities that aren't as bad as you think, and the good thing about it is that everything is explained.

FAST & FURIOUS

Finally, the instalment returns to the original timeline, revealing the original cast six years after 2 Fast 2 Furious and is set before Tokyo Drift. The timeline for Dominic Torretto is set after the first, original movie where the character resides in a different location with Letty Ortiz and there is an introduction of new characters Leo Tego, Rico Santos, and Gisele Yashar, and also a little confusion over one of the main characters, Han-Seoul-Oh, who was introduced in Tokyo Drift. Once again, Dominic and Brian cross paths, and the essence of 2 Fast 2 Furious comes into play as Brian is actually a FBI agent, got a suit and tie this time and is doing it voluntary, in this movie and there are drugs involved, a drug lord who goes by the name Arturo Braga and high speed races. Fast & Furious ups the ante a little whereby races are done with open roads rather than closing of streets to have a path free from traffic, and crossing borders of countries is involved. Essentially, I don't mind watching this movie, it gets back to the roots of the original scene but also adds in a little extra high-octane action for your adrenaline. I also love that it reunites the original bromance and reignites it all, the ending proving that the team and the franchise is far from done.

FAST FIVE

The fifth instalment, being Fast Five, released in 2011, definitely goes far behind anything you've seen in the first three movies of the franchise and is set before Tokyo Drift. I think this has got to be one of my favourite films in this series for sure. The reason it is one of the best is because it's actually a film transitioning from petty street races and local law enforcement to featuring only one car races and focusing on action including good, old, up-close and personal physical fighting, guns and brawls, and even involves a heist. The film is set in Rio De Janeiro and a team is assembled again consisting of Dominic and Mia Torretto, Brian O'Conner, Vince, Roman Pearce, Tej Parker, Leo Tego, Rico Santos, Gisele Yashar, and Han-Seoul-O. Again, you see the team going up against the big guns, which include; crime lord Hernan Reyes and his men, the police of Rio and Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs and his team plus Elena Neves, a local officer. Each of the, can I call them, villians of the film, have a bounty on the heads of the team, scouring the country. Reyes for personal reasons which involve a stolen car and Hobbs purely to extradite Dom, Mia, Vince and Brian. The film is highly regarded for its stunts and effects, it goes from a nitrous oxide on the down low to nitrous oxide going on steroids. The film ends on a high note and all is well. When finishing the film, you think that it's all done and dusted, what could top off this film and you just want the characters to live happily ever after, but of course, right at the end, it shows that there is a continuation. I recommend you wait for the credits to end because there is a post-credit scene.

FAST AND FURIOUS 6

In 2013, Fast & Furious 6 was released, set before Tokyo Drift, and you are once again on a journey with the professional criminal gang turned wanted fugitives, who have gone their separate ways and retired, are reunited to complete a job offered by Luke Hobbs, who works alongside a different partner, Riley Hicks. The bargaining chip is to save a family member and provide full amnesty for their past crimes. This time, the team up against Owen Shaw's team, Roman even describes them as their "evil twins" as there is a similarity between each of them. I guess this film actually presents the cliche of good vs evil and actually presents the audience with an evil mastermind. The film is set out in numerous locations, a majority of it based in London, England, and towards the end is followed by a NATO base located in Spain. There are at least two car races, one at the very beginning, and another in the film. There a lot of gadgets compared to the previous films, a lot of car chases involved, one car chase involves a tank and a plane the size of Roman's forehead, which is pretty epic. I personally thought after Fast and Furious 6, the franchise was done; if you've never seen the film, the opening credits are usually just an opening scene which shows the title of the film and presents the cast and crew of the film. However, the opening credits were much more different, presenting a monologue of the previous movies whereby scenes are shown in chronological order according to the timeline of events and summarising the past 12 years. Also, in the end, all the events lead to the film of Tokyo Drift, which I previously mentioned, everything is set back to the timeline and everything is explained in the end.

So essentially, the order of the timeline is: The Fast and the Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast and Furious 6 and then Tokyo Drift.

FURIOUS 7

Then finally, we come to Fast and Furious 7 or Furious 7, whatever you want to call it. The film continues from Fast and Furious 6 and Tokyo Drift, as both collide in the timeline. It again shows that cliche of good vs evil, exhibiting another mastermind gone bad, being Deckhard Shaw, the brother of Owen Shaw. Due to events that occur in the previous movie of Fast and Furious 6, Shaw swears vengeance against the team. There's a lot of action present in the film, including, head on collisions with cars, and there are once again, more car chases than races. Again, the film's location changes, going back to the roots of the film in Los Angeles, then going back to Tokyo, then going to somewhere completely random in the Caucasus Mountains which is in Eurasia between the Black and Caspian Sea, and then Abu Dhabi and finally back to the streets Los Angeles. There's technology involves in all this mess, a covert ops team, a militant army, a lot of explosives, a lot of guns, cars falling from planes, car driving through buildings and a lot of bad ass stunts, car driving and just a whole of asses that are bad. It's definitely the most far fetched film in the franchise but it sure does keep you on your toes and makes you want to hold onto something. As alls well that ends well, the film takes a drastic turn of events, and ends on a happy but sad note.

FOR PAUL

The seventh instalment of Fast and Furious, is probably the most personal for me, purely because of the events that occurred before the released and during the film's production with the passing of Paul Walker; and also his friend Roger Rodas, who we must not forget also perished in the car accident that involved the pair. The franchise of Fast and Furious has been a massive part of my life, I've watched it from the beginning and will watch it to the end, buying tickets to see it in the cinemas and purchasing copies of the DVDs. The films have grown and the characters have developed. Being so emotionally invested in this franchise has made me feel apart of it, like I've been living the experience the characters have and that the actors have. Although I don't know either of the actors personally and merely watch the films, I still feel as though I have a personal connection with the characters and those actors who play them. Paul Walker was a beautiful man, all he did was for the good of people and the world in general. The man lit up the screen with his presence, and in interviews and other videos I've seen, always made jokes and smiled. It's been an emotional ride for the Fast and Furious fans and the ending of the film was perfect. The tribute was an incredible way to send off Paul, who is looking down at us. It started the way it ended, with Brian and Vin racing each other and I appreciate the fact that Brian was retired rather than killed off in the film so that his legacy is limitless in the franchise and in life itself. The voice over from Vin Diesel was heartfelt and the music accompanying the tribute was all too much. It's safe to say I couldn't hold the tears in once I realised that the ending was going to be for Paul, as soon as I heard the voice and the music, that was it, I broke down. I think if you didn't cry in the film that you probably are just heartless, I mean how could you not cry, I could probably understand if you hadn't grown with the films and the cast or didn't pay attention to the films and merely watched them for entertainment, but actually I don't understand. Paul Walker wasn't just an actor but an activist and was an all round good natured person, and a man that was taken too soon.
