Hey guys, apologies for not posting anything on my blog for
nearly a whole week, I will try to make it up to you in this post which
hopefully you find entertaining or interesting or both. I’ve absolutely not had
any time to write a proper post due to the usual crazy life of being a student
which consists of drinking endless cups of coffee, late nights, me, myself and
my assignments, homework and the like, and of course, sleep. So amongst all of
this hectic life, I’ve had a pretty busy weekend.
After about a year or something like that, I finally got a
haircut, and I just have to say that it was one of the best experiences I’ve
ever had at a hairdressers. I highly recommend you find a 'Just Cuts' hairdresser
near you and give them a try. It’s basically $29 for a cut and wash, around $40
or $50 for a cut, wash and dry, and nearly $70 for a cut, wash and dry with
styling, but these prices will vary according to the length of your hair. It’s
well worth saving your money and pampering yourself because the staff are
friendly, interactive and treat your hair with the ultimate care. You don’t
even need to book appointments, you just walk in and wait, I waited a maximum
15 minutes and was there for nearly 45 minutes, so the staff definitely treat
the client well and don’t rush, contrary to the reviews I read about this
franchise. Shout out to my hairdresser, I kept my promise on blogging about
this.
I realised that haircuts are quite important and having a
good relationship with your hairdresser and good experience every time you pop
into the hairdresser is vital. Generally, it’s said you should visit the
hairdresser every 3 months, but it does depend on how you treat your hair or
whether you want to trim, cut, dye and such regularly. You could go for a cheap
hairdresser and get a terrible experience, sometimes a terrible haircut due to
lack of care, being rushed and the like, or you could go for a decent priced
hairdresser and actually enjoy your hair being pampered and treated and walk
out of there feeling on top of the world. I recommend you browse through local
hairdressers and find the one for your, the hairdresser may not be the one for
you but there’s no harm trying. You don’t even have to stick to one
hairdresser, you can switch it up a bit if you’re on a budget or there are
special at a particular place or you just need a change.
Now onto more important things, bars and clubs in Melbourne.
This weekend I went to two bars and a club. The first bar was called 'Sister
Bella', and I have to say, although I love me some Melbourne alleyways where
there are cute little cafes and all that jazz, at night it’s quite seedy.
However, once I walked into the bar, the vibe was so chill. The drinks are a
decent price but for me I’ve had more for cheaper, so I won’t rate the prices.
The place is generally cosy and the background music is the perfect volume to
hear yourself and your friends. The next bar is 'The Workshop', this bar was a
lot different to the first, there were a lot more people and it definitely had
more of a party vibe. I’m not sure about the prices of the drinks but I did
like the interior of the place in general. I wasn’t here for too long, not
because it was boring or anything but because my friends and I decided to go
clubbing. Being cheap skate students, we headed down to $5 Dollar Night at 'Rats', which everyone must experience, if you can handle 'Rats', you will handle
any club. The drinks are cheap, entry is cheap and usually there’s a tribute
night or free photobooth and face painting and just random things for a good
night out. Overall, the weekend was amazing, the weather was incredible,
basically, Melbourne is doing real good.
Let’s talk about how Ed Sheeran is coming back to Australia
for the AFL Grand Final! I’m absolutely so excited for this because performances
at the Grand Final have never tickled my fancy and finally an artist who is
known by a majority of people is performing. I did not need a repeat of
Meatloaf, I don’t ever need a repeat of that.
One Direction have just announced that there will be a fourth album and it's safe to say I'm fangirling just a little bit, okay a lot. To promote the album and give back to fans, they've given fans 24 hours to download their new song 'Firerproof' for free on their website, so be sure to give it a listen. The vibe of the song is cute and mellow, and obviously it's catchy, and I enjoyed it, can't wait for the album though.
