Hawaii Collection by OPI
OPI have launched a new collection 'Hawaii Collection by OPI', featuring 12 new nail lacquer shades for this season! The collection features a variety of palettes ranging from muted tones of mint, peach, pink and nude to bolder hues of coral, green, purple and gold to deep tones of mauve, violet, brick red and shimmery blue.
The OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador, revealed the inspiration of the Hawaii Collection being "the surf, sand and sunsets found at Hawaii’s beautiful beaches, as well as the island’s lush greenery, tropical flowers, and colorful fish, to create 12 fresh new nail shades." The new collection being for women looking for adventure and eager to embrace other colours of nail polish, not just that classic black, white or red, as most women generally go for. Although this collection is generally for Summer/Spring 2015 in the northern hemisphere, the southern hemisphere can add a bit of pop to their toes and nails during the seasons of Autumn and Winter this year. It perfect for those already in the seasons of Summer/Spring and even more perfect for those who miss the Summer season and want it back in their life.
Hawaii Collection by OPI includes the following shades:
The collection is available right now in selected Myer, David Jones and selected salons nationally. Try out all the shades or get the OPI mini pack.
I've been trying out the OPI mini pack and so far so good. I have to say that OPI is one of those brands in nail polish that actually lasts a good week without chipping. The mini pack consists of the shades: Suzi Shops & Island Hops, That's Hula-rious, Lost My Bikini in Molokini and Aloha from OPI.
I'll share with you my favourite shades once I've tried them all. This page will be updated accordingly with the coverage and such so you can see the results for yourself and judge it, sort of trying before your buying but through me instead, so if you like what you see, maybe you'll try it and experience the results for yourselves. If you need help with applying nail polish, check out my previous post 'Nailed It', hopefully it'll help you out.

After that was done and dusted, I tried That's Hula-rious, it's a really nice pale green that although you think would be quite boring is actually different whereby it stands out a little to me. I barely wear pale nail polish tones but I did love this colour.
I then tried Lost My Bikini In Molokini and it's basically a colour I already have so wasn't phased by it, I mean once again, it's lasted me a week but other than that it's basically just a purple shade that I already owned. However, if you're a fan of purple nail polishes or just a darker shade in general, definitely go for this little gem.
And finally, I've come to an end with testing all the colours, it's been a fun month of trying nail polish colours, but alas it has ended. The last colour I tried was Aloha from OPI. At first, I thought the nail colour was an orange, like sort of a darker tone. But as you let it dry, it forms into a kind of red tone. Red goes with everything and suits everyone so there is no fault in this colour.
Overall, OPI is definitely one of my favourite brands in nail polish, although a little more expensive than the other brands you always see, the coverage is really good and it literally will last you a good week without chipping. However, I noticed that when applying top coats, the colour became uneven and dark in some areas, so I advise you not to apply top coat, a base coat is enough.
All in all, I really love the collection so far and will be updating you all on how the other shades go.
