L'Oréal Fibralogy

So I've not blogged in ages, I blame university and exams for my blog hiatus... BUT... I'm back people! All I've been doing lately is studying, eating, studying some more, watching... or should I say, marathoning TV shows... okay I was marathoning ENTIRE SEASONS, don't even judge me... oh and I was studying... did I mention studying at all? No, I didn't think I did. Now that exams are over, I finally have some time to type up a blog post for you all to read. I hope I haven't lost you here.

Thanks to L'Oréal Paris, I got to test out their new product is apart of their Elvive range. This particular collection of Fibrology is for fine or thin hair and is a thickening agent. L'Oréal offered a chance for customers to purchase their collection of products that helps thicken hair with a discount. I was in great need of new shampoo and conditioner and a product that helped thicken hair because my hair is quite fine, although there is A LOT of it, I wanted thicker hair so I brought the collection.

This particular collection features four products, them being, shampoo, conditioner, leave-in treatment and a serum that is a concentrated version of the leave-in treatment, there's also a product in the range known as thickening creation, however, I do not believe it's available in all countries.

I've been testing the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in treatment for about a month now and there is definitely visible results.

When using the shampoo and conditioner, you can actually feel the products thickening your hair as you wash and condition. The shampoo contains Filloxane which expands the hair fibre, as well as providing a deep cleaning so the hair has more body and thickness and is voluminous. When applying the shampoo you don't have to use too much. I recommend washing your hair and massaging the scalp so every part of the hair fibres are washed and cleansed, also be sure to rinse out the product thoroughly before conditioning.

Then there's the conditioner, the formula of the product provides the ultimate hydration and shine while also providing the hair with more body and thickness, but your hair is a lot more smoother thanks to conditioning. A lot of hairdressers or people in general claim that you should comb your hair when it's conditioned by as the hair is wet and therefore more susceptible to breakage so I recommend you just condition and then comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb once your hair is dry. Additionally, there is no need to comb through the conditioner because the product gets rid of the knots. When conditioning your hair don't forget to leave it in for about 2-3 minutes so you get the full effect of it. Make sure you rinse out the conditioner, you don't want little bits or clumps of conditioner in your hair.

Wash after wash, your hair becomes nourished, visibly thickening the hair. The products are also efficient and economic, the product itself is quite decent in price and you don't need an extreme amount of either the shampoo or conditioner.

Once these products are used together, on a regular basis it penetrates the hair fibre, thickening and densifying the hair fibre from within and expanding the hair, visibly thickening the hair.

Now onto the leave-in treatment, which is by far my favourite treatment I've ever used, it's a close equal to the Tresemmé 7 Day Keratin Smooth Heat Activated serum, and beats the Schwarzkof Hair Repair with Liquid Keratin volumising lotion. The treatment comprises of two parts, the first is a thickening gel, this one is a pink colour, and the other is a smoothing serum, this a white colour. The thickening gel features Filloxane just like the shampoo and conditioner, and so thickens the hair fibre, creating substance. While the smoothing serum provides a silky finish with added shine while softening the hair. When you pump several drops of serum, the formulas mix providing the full benefit of the product in mere seconds when applied to the hair. The best part about this product, is that it can be applied to both wet or dry hair. I usually apply the serum to damp hair after washing with the shampoo and conditioner, and if I've skipped a day of washing and conditioning my hair, I apply the serum when the hair is dry. The only negative I've found is that my hair gets a little oily after 3 days of not washing my hair.

I prefer to not wash my hair every single day otherwise the hair follicles will dry out and also when I straighten my hair I like to last as long as possible without washing because heat causes damage to your hair. Personally, I wash and condition my hair every second or third day.

Overall, I'm in love with this product. Every time I wash and condition my hair before straightening my hair, obviously once my hair is dry, my hair is so silky smooth it's crazy! I use the shampoo, conditioner and the serum in conjunction with other products. Furthermore, I've found that my hair falls out a lot less so the product definitely strengths and nourishes hair.

First I apply the shampoo and conditioner. Then once my hair is damp, I apply the Tresemme product previously mentioned, then this product I've been testing Marc Daniels Flat Iron treatment which protect the hair from heat and thermal products as well as being a defrizzant and smoothing the hair making it feel like silk. Once my hair is completely dry, before straightening my hair, I apply the serum, and allow that to set in. The reason I spread out the application of products is so that there isn't a negative effect and you don't want to completely attack the hair with products all at once. All these products provide protection against heat, while thickening and softening the hair.

L'Oréal Paris is one of my favourite brands for hair care, not only is it affordable but their products last a while. Additionally, there's a wide range of products to suit everyone's needs, from dry and brittle hair to dyed hair to damaged hair to frizzy hair to basically any kind of hair you have on your hair, the Elvive range has thought of everyone. Protect your hair colour, your hair breakage, your hair's nutrition, the volume of your hair, the frizziness of your hair, even get total protection, L'Oréal Paris has you covered because you're worth it... Okay I'm sorry I just had to add that in, I couldn't resist!

So that's all folks, thank you for reading and checking out this post, hopefully you enjoyed the read and maybe even think about changing your hair routine. If you test or purchase any of the products I've tried and recommended, let me know through social media.
